Contract Sales Spotlight: Spruce Street Harbor Park

We recently had the opportunity to work with Groundswell Design Group and the Delaware River Waterfront to furnish Spruce Street Harbor Park, a new pop-up park in Philadelphia.  Spruce Street Harbor Park will be open through August 31, and features family friendly attractions such as a boardwalk, an urban beach and a giant chess board, as well as adult nightlife at a restaurant and beer garden featuring only local Philly beers.

Penn Stone’s Tammy Weidman worked with Laura Rennekamp from Groundswell, who specified Bistro tables and chairs from Fermob for this project.  From Laura:

"Thank you for your wonderful service. Tammy has been great to work with and we really appreciate your quick response. We chose Fermob bistro tables because of their simple design, bright cheerful colors, and flexibility. We wanted to create a lively space full of excitement and energy. The bright colors of the Fermob bistro set helped us create that atmosphere. Their design and materiality is also perfect for urban public spaces, we needed chairs that were durable, sturdy, yet easy to move and store. The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC), who commissioned the project will continue to use this furniture in pop-up spaced all along the waterfront for years to come. We felt this specific brand and collection had a timeless feel and would fit nicely into our overall design."

If you're in Philadelphia sometime soon, be sure to check it out!
